Dordy Joseph is the founder of Acorn Tech Works, a technology and digital-services company created to help small businesses, churches, ministries, nonprofits, community organizations, and entrepreneurs make practical use of modern technology.
Dordy has a professional background in technology implementation and systems deployment, including work involving enterprise technology and software deployment. After years away from the traditional technology workforce, he returned to hands-on technology through website development, digital content, artificial intelligence, automation, online branding, and practical digital-business projects.
That return to technology became more than simply learning new tools. It showed him how much technology had changed, and how powerful today’s tools could be for smaller organizations that often do not have dedicated technology, marketing, or communications teams.
Hands-On Digital Experience
Dordy built and manages Harvest Edge Living, a home décor and digital-content brand that has served as a hands-on environment for learning and implementing WordPress, search optimization, Pinterest strategy, affiliate content, digital imagery, artificial intelligence, content workflows, and online audience development.
That experience has provided practical exposure to the same challenges many Acorn Tech Works clients face: building a website, creating consistent content, developing a recognizable brand, connecting different digital tools, understanding analytics, and figuring out what actually deserves time and money.
Dordy has also worked extensively with church and nonprofit technology needs, including website planning, digital communications, forms, organizational documents, content development, ministry materials, and technology strategy. His experience includes projects supporting organizations such as Bethesda World Ministries / BWM Haiti and Church of God of Nyack, along with other community and ministry initiatives.
Why Acorn Tech Works?
Acorn Tech Works grew out of a simple observation:
Many small organizations know technology could help them, but they do not always know where to begin, and they cannot afford an entire technology department.
Dordy created Acorn Tech Works to help close that gap.
The goal is not to sell clients complicated technology simply because it is new. The goal is to understand what a client is trying to accomplish and then find a practical solution that fits their organization, budget, and ability to maintain it.
